Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor in the morning and a reporter on WCBD TV. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston on how Charleston police dealt with DUI cases with leniency resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger instruction for the state's authorities. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. O'Dell, in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
